What is a podcast?

Wikipedia defines a [podcast] as “a series of digital-media files, which are distributed over the Internet using syndication feeds for playback on portable media players and computers. The term podcast, like broadcast, can refer either to the series of content itself or to the method by which it is syndicated; the latter is also called podcasting. The host or author of a podcast is often called a podcaster.”

Basically, a podcast is a file automatically delivered to you (via subscription service) to play on your computer, iPod, MP3 player or to burn to CD. We have both audio and video podcasts available through iTunes or via RSS feed.

How do I get started?

Your mp3 player should have built-in software that allows you to download podcasts. You can set it up for automatic downloads or you can do it manually.

Do I need an iPod or mp3 player to listen to a podcast?

Nope. You can download iTunes for free and listen to podcasts on your computer or burn them to a CD. You will need to have an active account with iTunes in order to do this.

How do I subscribe to the Society of Vineyard Scholars podcast?

The easiest way is to go to:
