How To Apply For SVS 2018 Travel Scholarships

A small number of travel scholarships are available for SVS 2018, on a first-come, first-served basis.

There are two types of funding available:

• SVS Travel Scholarships
• VineyardUSA Ethnic Diversity Team Scholarships.

As explained below, they have different application processes.

SVS Travel Scholarship Fund

To apply for an SVS Travel Scholarship, please do the following:

1. Register for the conference at http://svs2018.eventbrite.com

2. Ensure that your SVS membership is current at http://www.vineyardscholars.org/join-svs/

3. Submit an estimated travel budget using this form.

All applications for SVS Travel Scholarships must be received by June 10, 2018. These funds will be disbursed by check at SVS 2018.

If necessary, priority will be given to applicants who are presenting a paper at the conference. However, if you are not presenting but you need funding help, do not be reticent to apply for a scholarship. We would love to enable everyone who wants to to come to SVS 2018.

Please apply for a scholarship if it will mean the difference for you between being able to reasonably attend or not attend. We would love to help you if we can. On the other hand, please do pursue alternative sources of funding if they are available to you, as our scholarship budget is small. We want to use it well.

VineyardUSA Ethnic Diversity Team Scholarship Fund

The Vineyard USA Ethnic Diversity Working Team’s purpose is to increase ethnically diverse leaders at every level in the Vineyard. The team has set aside some funds to help advance the participation of Vineyard pastors and leaders of color in national Vineyard events like SVS 2018.

If you are a person of color and would like to apply for yourself or on behalf of a staff person or lay leader in your church to attend SVS 2018, please do the following:

1. Register for the conference at http://svs2018.eventbrite.com

2. Ensure that your SVS membership is current at http://www.vineyardscholars.org/join-svs/

3. Apply for an Ethnic Diversity Team Scholarship using this form.
