The central theme of this ten-year anniversary meeting is “The Coming of the Spirit and the Life of the Church.” Together, we will explore the manifold interactions and implications of the coming of the Holy Spirit for the life and work of the Church, from Pentecost to the present.

This year, our broad interdisciplinary conversations will focus around the following themes:

  • Gathered and Sent: Exploring Vineyard Practices
  • Strangers and Aliens: The Holy Spirit in Exilic Communities
  • Reasonable Service: Spirit, Work, and the People of God
  • God-Breathed: Scripture, the Spirit, and Interpretation

We will also organize SVS Seminar conversations around the following topics:

  • Writing Vineyard History
  • Education as Transformation
  • Theology and Place: Minnesōta!
  •  Theological Speech: Toward a Practice of Failing Language
  • On Dallas Willard

Finally, as always, we welcome artistic engagements with any of the conference themes.
